European Biobank Week in Prague, 19-22 May – News

During 2026’s European Biobank Week, IC Biomedical will meet with international professionals, government representatives and other stakeholders in the biomolecular resources and biobanking sectors to learn more, share ideas and explore innovations.

What Is EBW26?

In 2026, European Biobank Week (EBW26) will run from May 19 through 22 at the Prague Congress Centre in the Czech Republic. The location is close to the metro, hotels, historic properties, the Vltava River and Prague Castle.

Hosted by Biobanking and BioMolecular Research Infrastructure (BBMRI-ERIC) and the European, Middle Eastern & African Society for Biopreservation and Biobanking (ESBB), EBW26 will feature workshops, panels, ESBB meetings, keynotes, networking opportunities and more. European Biobank Week is a cryogenic storage showcase, and will conclude with an ethics cafe, exhibitions and a closing awards ceremony.
